Hello. My name is Fucheon and it's been 6 years since I joined cheero.
In the spring, there may be many people who are planning to become an educator due to a transfer or joining a new member of society.
If you are a large company, you may have a proper training period and manual, but here, for those who work for SMEs , I experienced new employee education. I would like to share what I felt as "I'm glad I did this!"
1. Create a manual
I think this will always exist in a large company, but if you don't have a manual, create it yourself .
For business content that uses the screen of a personal computer, it is recommended to insert business content image as well as text because it is easier to understand. (Example: If you use a shipping business system, paste the image of the system screen step by step, etc.)
characters can be made sharper, easier to see, and easier to read by adding strength to the font size and color . (Example: Items should be in bold letters that are slightly larger, and details should be in normal size letters, etc.)
2. Communicate the time required for one task
The speed of doing work varies depending on the person, but time by telling rough time such as "this work takes about 30 minutes" and "this is about 10 minutes". Because you can start work with in mind, the speed often increases in the end.
By making people aware oftime, should they naturally acquire time management ability ?
3. When explaining, the motto is "Overall understanding-> Detailed explanation"
, I try to convey the whole flow of and get an image of .
If you teach with the stance of "looking at the trees and not looking at the forest", you may not understand what you are doing and you may have to re-teach when you have the same work done again. I will come.
Please be aware of "Looking at the forest and seeing the trees".
Also, giving a reason makes it easier to settle in your head, so be aware of why this work is done like this.
4. Create an atmosphere that makes it easy to ask questions
I think has the courage to ask questions, especially for new employees who have no working experience.
"Is that senior busy ... I'll ask you a question later" "That senior is a little scared so it's hard to ask a question" t8> I think that mistakes can be prevented as a result if you are aware of that creates a loose atmosphere and that you call out if you seem to be worried even a little.
If you get closer and closer, such as chatting during breaks and going to a cafe together, the newcomers may open their hearts little by little.
5. Output what you have taught
It is meaningless if you do not understand what you have taught.
By having a newcomer explain what you have learned, you can understand what part you do not understand , and by explaining the other person, you can remember more. It should be fixed .
This is a study method that is highly recommended when learning something on your own, not just in the field of education.
Summary
How was it?
I think that all new employees are thrilled to become members of society, but every time we senior employees educate new employees, they are nervous, "I wonder if I can teach them well ...".
I hope this tip will help someone!
Thank you for reading to the end!
